Cirlces on my maple dining table?

After polishing my maple dining table I've notice cirlce like splotches. I've tried everything, from products that are supposed to clean the wax buildup to Murphy's Oil Soap.It looks good for a few minutes and then after the polish dries the splotches reappear. Is there anything that can fix this problem permanently.
