I have been called cynical! Explain it with example? Is it that bad?

I tend to think like that too, so I guess I am also very cynical for my age since I'm twelve and a half. I am very serious about life and don't really believe in stuff I know won't happen because maybe I'm negative. And I am. I guess I would think of cynical as serious and someone that doesn't believe easily.
