Rufus Sewell Fans! - I'm curious about some background info?

I don't know much about the guy, I've sorta become a fan recently. I was curious if anyone knew his ethnic background? I know he is English but he kinda looks like he has Lebanese in him or something? I say that simply because he looks just like someone I know who is Lebanese and I was just wondering what it is that makes him so unique looking...
