Is it a bad idea to only let guests request songs from a list that I chose?

My wedding is very nontraditional and I want only new wave / 80's played at my reception. I have a list of over 150 songs picked out. I was thinking about printing this list and having my guests request songs only from said list. I really don't want to hear the YMCA or Kelly Clarkson or Justin Timberlake at my reception. I brought up this idea with my family, but it didn't go over too well. What are your thoughts?
